The Eighth Sunday after Pentecost
These beautiful summers in the North Country remind me of the saying that “A Christian should be an alleluia from head to foot,” which is attributed to St. Augustine of Hippo. To make our lives a celebration. To live eucharistically. To live a grateful life. Often easier said than done. To live a joyful life is indeed a discipline. One to which we are called. And, needless to say, not merely for our own sake. Alleluia!
