Project Linus, a national nonprofit organization, maintains a mission of providing a sense of love, security, warmth, and comfort to children who are seriously ill or in need.

More than 7 million children in all 50 states have already received blankets. The success of Project Linus depends on the “Blanketeers,” faithful volunteers who share their skills, time and talents by making these blankets.

Trinity can help.

Blankets must be new, handmade and washable, and are needed in sizes for children of all ages up to 18 years old. Blankets may be fleece, quilted, knitted or crocheted. You may use your favorite pattern or choose one from the Project Linus website, www.projectlinus.org.

Blankets are being collected through Sunday, Aug. 5. The Project Linus collection box is located on the outreach table in the main foyer of Macsherry Parish Center.
