Aside from the Bible, the most wonderful book to Anglicans is the Book of Common Prayer. Generations of people have held it in their hands to say their prayers in church, at home, on the battlefield, at the beach.

It is a tactile experience that I cannot explain – holding the prayer book, saying the prayers, turning the pages.

So, beginning June 17, we will be using the Book of Common Prayer a bit more in our worship, and the printed leaflets a bit less.

I hope that by using the prayer books more in church, we will be encouraged all the more to discover the contents contained in its 1,000 plus pages.
